Rainbow Obsidian is a very unique material to work with. Made up of volcanic glass that quickly cooled, composed of other minerals to create the vibrant inclusions of color: purple, green, yellow Lace Agates are perfect for rock enthusiasts. I've purchased several different types of rough rock from Rock 'n Tumble now and the rough material is the real deal. I've purchased rainbow obsidian from other sellers that turned out not to have much "rainbow" in it. Not so here. When polished the rainbow effect is multi-colored and vibrant. Whether it's rainbow obsidian, rainbow moonstone or Grade "A" labradorite, what you receive is exactly as pictured and described. Great rough rock source!

The rainbow obsidian is absolutely magnificent. It has so much flash. I’m only tumbling a few pieces. The rest is going to be polished by hand
