I purchased 1 lb of the assorted mix. This contained 19 rocks of at least 10 different types. (I'm not strong on identifying geologic specimens, so could be more types.) At least 8 are going to polish out with patterns in them given the patterns in the raw rock. Two are sparkly. Three are clear. Colors: red, dark blue, pale blue, pink, purple, clear, pale brown with patterns. Most of them are larger than the rocks in the refill pack I bought for my l lb drum size National Geographic (hobby sized) tumbler. While I'm planning on getting a 3 lb drum tumbler soon, next month?, for the moment, I'm likely to pick some of the smallest rocks out of this collection, and trade them for some of the larger rocks out of the refill pack to get a wider variety of specimens in the tumbling mix. (Note: before anyone asks....I'm 71, female, and love pretty polished rocks.. This assorted set looks like it will produce some VERY pretty polished rocks.)
